Jane Loomis, MPA

St. Joseph River Watershed Initiative

Jane Loomis was born and raised in Mercer County, Ohio and holds a BA from
the College of Mount St. Joseph on the Ohio and an MPA in public management from
Indiana University’s School of Public Affairs.
After careers as an elementary school teacher and an academic advisor for the
School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University-Purdue
University Fort Wayne, Jane joined the St. Joseph River Watershed Initiative as
executive director in December of 2002.
As executive director of the Initiative, Jane manages grant-funded programs
focused on outreach education and water quality monitoring, placement of Best
Management Practices on the land, and watershed management planning and
implementation. As part of her work, she organizes stakeholders and helps to
write watershed management plans for subwatersheds within the 694,400-acre St.
Joseph watershed.
Jane is also a certified instructor for the Hoosier Riverwatch volunteer
water quality monitoring program.
Tina Puitz

Tina Puitz was born and raised in Tippecanoe County, Indiana where the mighty
Wabash River runs. She holds a BA in English from Saint Francis College.
Tina’s career has always revolved around the marketing and print media field
and has continued in that area since joining the St. Joseph River Watershed
Initiative in December 2004 as Assistant to the Executive Director.
Tina coordinates many of the services provided by the St. Joseph River
Watershed Initiative, including publication of the quarterly St. Joseph River
Review newsletter.
